2. Sign Up for Budget Updates.

The citizens of Eugene are the most important part of the City organization.  Councilors are elected by them to represent their interests on the Council, and City services are directed to meet their needs. Public hearings are routinely held so that citizens can contribute to the City budgeting process. To receive notices of upcoming Budget Committee meetings via e-mail or text on your mobile device, please sign up for the Budget Updates e-mail list.

3. Apply to Be a Budget Committee Member.

Another way for citizens to have input in how the City is governed is through the City's advisory boards and commissions, including the Budget Committee. These committees make recommendations to the City Council on policy issues and advise City staff on certain operational matters. For more information on how to apply for any of the City boards and commissions, please visit www.eugene-or.gov/bcc or call the City Manager's Office at 541-682-5010.

4. Comments?

Your opinions matter. You can submit comments directly to the City's Budget Committee using the online form. You can also speak to the Budget Committee or the City Council at the public comment times or at public hearings, or submit a written statement at the following address: Budget Committee, c/o City of Eugene Finance Division, 100 W 10th Avenue, Suite 400, Eugene, OR 97401.
