HOME Investment Partnerships Program
The Eugene-Springfield Consortium receives HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
Eugene allocates HOME funds to assist developers in the construction of new units and acquisition of existing units. Certified Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDO) receive organizational capacity building assistance and operating funds. In addition, HOME funds are used to provide down payment assistance to first-time homebuyers. Lastly, Eugene may use available HOME funds as no-interest interim financing on projects when repayment is secured by permanent financing from local lending institutions.
