Failure to Report as a Sex Offender, Warrant – Case 1621673

An officer observed a man riding a bike going northbound in a southbound lane on Bethel Drive. The officer stopped him and identified him as Eddie Dean Poole, age 56, of Eugene. Poole had a warrant out of EPD for Failure to Appear Theft 3, was listed as a sex offender and had failed to register. He was taken into custody on the warrant and also charged with Failure to Report as a Sex Offender.

Possession of Methamphetamine, Criminal Trespass 2, Warrant – Case 1621625

A man showed up in the Downtown Public Safety Station as he had seen a man at the LTD station wearing his missing/stolen clothing. The victim had not yet reported the missing clothing (hat, hoodie and coat), which had been stolen out of his vehicle at the parking garage at 248 W. Broadway on the night of December 28. The victim didn’t wish to press charges, and only wished to have his clothing back. Lane County Parole and Probation aided the Eugene Police officer in locating the man wearing the clothing, who was found at the bus station near 30 W. 10th Avenue. The suspect, Logan Blake Foster, age 21, had a warrant for his arrest related to failure to appear on a previous criminal mischief arrest. LTD security advised that Foster had been trespassed from their property for numerous past behavioral and trespassing issues. Foster was in possession of methamphetamine. He was taken into custody on the warrant, and also charged with Criminal Trespass and Possession of Methamphetamine. The victim’s property was returned to him.

Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Heroin –Case 1621653

An officer was patrolling the area and noted a man sitting in the grass injecting himself. The officer suspected use of a controlled substance and contacted the man, later identified as Coby Lee Ortloff, age 41. The officer found that Ortloff had just shot up and was in possession of Heroin and Methamphetamine. Ortloff was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Heroin.

Harassment – Case 1621650

An officer was sent to Buckley House for report of a man, identified as David Lee Battles, age 52, assaulting a male staff member. Battles was reported to have arrived at the location and pounded on the door, demanding his property, which was not inside. He tried to pull the door open and when a staff member tried to prevent this, Battle punched him. The staff member was able to close the door. Battles was contacted by officers and he was intoxicated. He was taken into custody without incident and charged with Harassment.

Violation of Restraining Order, Resisting Arrest – Case 1621632

Officers were dispatched in emergency mode to cover other officers who were trying to control a suspect who was resisting arrest for violation of a restraining order. The suspect, Zachary Danile Hibbard, age 32, had fled the residence where the violation occurred and was contacted near 26th and Hilyard. It ultimately took five officers and the aid of a taser to get Hubbird into custody. Three of the officers received minor injuries. Hubbird was charged with Resisting Arrest, Interfering and Violation of a Restraining Order.

DUII – Case 1621610

Officers were working patrol and spotted a Nissan Sentra go through a red light. They performed a traffic stop and upon contacting the driver Charles Gordon Haller, age 44, of Eugene. The officers suspected impairment and after an investigation charged Haller with

DUII and Failure to Obey a Traffic Signal.

Menacing, Private Indecency, Criminal Trespass 1, and Criminal Mischief 2 – Case 1621615

Officers were sent to a menacing in progress and when they went to contact the suspect, Micah Joseph Williams, age 30, of Eugene, Williams fled to the bathroom of the house, then came out and went into a bedroom and tried to climb out the window. Three officers were able to take him into custody. He was reported to have been a guest at the residence, where there had been drinking and smoking marijuana products throughout the day. Williams was reported to have been running around the house, and had grabbed kitchen knives. He was asked to leave but refused. He was locked out of the house, but banged his head on the glass door in the backyard, before going to the front door where he broke the door jamb. Williams re-entered the house and took off his pants. At one point Williams is reported to have pointed a knife at one of the people present. Williams was charged with Menacing, Private Indecency, Criminal Trespass 1, and Criminal Mischief 2.

Assault – Case 1621675

An officer was speaking with an employee of Cowfish when he spotted a fight in progress front of Buy 2. One subject, Aaron James Montoya, age 29, of Springfield, was in a fight with a 43-year-old man. While the officer was running to intervene, he observed a third man, age 58, joined the fight and get hit by Montoya. Montoya was ordered to get on the ground and he complied and was taken into custody without incident and charged with Assault.

DUII, Driving without Headlights – Case 1621676

An officer was patrolling on River Road and saw a Ford Focus without its headlights on. He performed a traffic stop. Upon contacting the driver, Damon Harold Reiter, age 43, of Eugene, the officer suspected impairment. After an investigation Reiter was charged with DUII and Driving without Headlights.

Disorderly Conduct – Case 1621596

A man, later identified as Dylan Christian Gilder, age 21, went into the street and broke a large bottle, then went into the Black Forest Tavern. Officers contacted Gilder inside the bar and Gilder was highly agitated. Gilder was cited for Disorderly Conduct.

Possession of Heroin, Criminal Trespass 2, Warrant – Case 1621595

Officers were on routine patrol in the alley and observed Brett Anthony Deverell, age 23, trespassing at the building. He had a warrant for Failure to Appear on charges of Criminal Mischief 2 out of Springfield Police Department. As he was being taken into custody, Deverell intentionally hit his head into the side of the building. He was in possession of heroin and meth, and during the interaction with police became increasingly angrier. He threatened to kill the officers. He was taken into custody on the warrant and also charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Heroin, Possession of a Controlled Substance Methamphetamine, and Criminal Trespass.

Criminal Trespass 1 – Case 1621594

A man was preparing to move his mother into a residence he owned and came to the home only to find the front door unlocked and a man he didn’t know sleeping in a bedroom. He called police, who arrived to find a man, later identified as Leroy Russell Gates-Prociw, age 26, of Springfield, inside. The officers took Gates-Prociw into custody and charged him with Criminal Trespass 1.

Warrants – Case 1621587

Officers were sent to respond to calls about a disorderly woman in traffic at River Road and Hunsaker lane. They found the woman and identified her as Nisha Mullins, age 37, and discovered she had three warrants for her arrest. They took her into custody on the warrants.

Unauthorized Use of Vehicle, Possession of Stolen Vehicle – Case 1621400

On December 25 at 10:10, a 26-year-old man reported his Honda Civic had been stolen. On December 28 at 6:12 p.m., an officer was driving and spotted the vehicle and performed a traffic stop. The driver, Iezak Wayne Wyatt, age 28, was taken into custody. He was in possession of methamphetamine and burglary tools. Wyatt was charged with Unauthorized Use of Vehicle, Possession of Stolen Vehicle, Possession of Burglary Tools, and Possession of Methamphetamine. The vehicle was returned to the owner.

Strangulation – Case 1621477

Officers were sent to investigate a report of an assault that had occurred earlier in the day. A 28-year-old man had come home intoxicated and was confronted by a roommate, who did not want intoxicated people in the house. The man and the roommate, Uri Daviv Wiedener Grossel, age 34, of Eugene, got into an argument, during which Grossel is reported to have pushed the victim. The next morning the argument was taken up again and became physical when Grossel is reported to have grabbed the victim and then restricted his breathing. After investigating, police arrested Grossel on charges of Strangulation.

Robbery 2, Theft 1 – Case 1621294

An officer was sent to Macy’s at Valley River Center as loss prevention had spotted two men suspected in thefts of expensive jackets from another Macy’s. One of the security officers tried to stop the suspects from exiting the store with an armload of the jackets, but they ran into her and pushed her into some doors as they took off. The suspects almost struck another security guard’s vehicle as it was leaving. The EPD officer took a report and then followed up along with a Property Crimes detective and found a suspect had been taken into custody on a case in Albany. The suspect, Clarence Darden, age 32 of Seattle, was identified as one of the suspect’s from the Valley River Center robbery. On December 26 at 2:24 p.m., he was charged with Robbery 2 and Theft 1.

Criminal Trespass 2 – Case 1621435

An officer was dispatched regarding a person trespassing on the roof of a building of a business. When police arrived, they found that the suspect, later identified as Justus Brandon Petersen, age 37, had set up camp on the roof. Petersen was cooperative when contacted. He was cited for trespassing.

Warrant Arrest – Case 1621430

An officer was on patrol and spotted a man later identified as Jaden Lee Kimm, age 22, of Cottage Grove, riding a bicycle in the dark without lights. The officer performed a stop on Kimm and found that he had a Parole Violation and Probation Warrant for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender and Failure to Appear Possession of Methamphetamine. He was arrested on his warrants.

Disorderly Conduct – Case 1621254

Police responded to the area regarding a male subject who was displaying violent behavior, and was observed yelling, throwing a glass bottle and kicking a male subject. Police contacted the described male subject, Patrick Xavier Stack, age 49, and received information that his behavior was causing concern to people in the area. He was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and transported to the Lane County Jail.

Resisting Arrest – Case 1621226

A police officer in the area was flagged down to conduct a welfare check of a male subject who appeared to be sleeping. The officer contacted the subject, Anthony John Downing, age 44, and found that he had five warrants for arrest. During the arrest, Downing struggled with the officer, and attempted to kick and pull away from the officer. He was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail on the warrants and charged with Resisting Arrest.

Disorderly Conduct – Case 1621204

Police responded to the area regarding a disorderly subject who was knocking down street signs and throwing trash in the roadway. When the police officer attempted to contact the subject, Brian David Zier, age 43, of Eugene, he ran and disregarded direction from the officer to stop. He was eventually contacted by police and arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Interfering With Police. He was transported to the Lane County Jail.

DUII – Case 1621148

A police officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop of a blue sedan after it had swerved, and turned west onto Wood Avenue with signaling. The officer contacted the driver, Jeremiah Carl Stackhouse, age 38, of Eugene, and after further investigation, arrested him for DUII and cited him for Careless Driving.

Use of Marijuana in Public Place – Case 1621175

A police officer patrolling the downtown area on foot contacted Steven Michael Shelton, age 39, of Eugene, after he was observed smoking and found information to cite him for Use of Marijuana in Public.

Harassment/Criminal Trespass 2/Warrant – Case 1621147

Police responded to the 7-Eleven regarding a physical dispute between two male subjects. Police received information that the subject, Justin Igor Rosenbaum, age 26, of Eugene, continued to stay on the property after an employee told him to leave, and attempted to hit the employee when the employee attempted to escort him off the property. Bystanders who were in the area assisted the employee with restraining Rosenbaum until police arrived and contacted him regarding the incident. He was evaluated at the scene by medics and arrested for Harassment, Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree and a warrant, and transported to the Lane County Jail.

Menacing – 1621143

Police responded to Jackson’s Market regarding a menacing and contacted the described subject, Rik Bogen, age 70, of Eugene, in the area of 7th Alley and Washington Street. Police received information that Bogen threatened an employee at the market and displayed a knife. Bogen was arrested for Menacing and transported to the Lane County Jail.

Criminal Trespass 2 – Case 1621118

Police responded to the Dari Mart at the location regarding a disorderly trespasser who was told to leave and refused after yelling at customers who were entering the business. Police contacted the described subject, Billy Dye Jr., age 55, of Eugene, and arrested him for Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree.

DUII/Reckless Driving – Case 1621100

Police responded to a non-injury motor vehicle crash a short distance west of the Beltline off-ramp on Division Avenue, and observed a black 1989 Ford Probe resting on its side with damage to the front and along the length of the side and the rear driver’s side window broken. Police contacted the driver, Eiquem R Morales-Vasquez, age 19, of Eugene, and after further investigation, arrested him for DUII and Reckless Driving.

Interfering Public Transport – Case 1621136

Police responded to the LTD bus station regarding a male subject who had previously been trespassed from the location, refused to leave, and was uncooperative with employees. Police contacted the subject, Justin Jody Bartow, age 26, and found information to arrest him on a warrant, Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree and Interfering With Public Transport. He was transported to the Lane County Jail.

Criminal Mischief 2 – Case 1621123

Police contacted Lajuana Lee Jackson, age 59, of Eugene, at a hotel on W. 6th Avenue regarding an incident that happened overnight between December 17 and December 18, and received information that Jackson caused damage to the four tires of the victim’s 1990 Volvo. She was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree.

Possession of Methamphetamine/Criminal Trespass 2 – Case 1621072

A police officer in the area observed a female subject in an area marked with No Trespassing signs and contacted the subject, Cody Lynn Bierce, age 29, of Eugene, and found that she had a warrant for arrest. Bierce was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree and a warrant. During the arrest, police found information to also charge Bierce with Possession of Methamphetamine.

Disorderly Conduct/Criminal Trespass – Case 1621054

A police officer was in the area of the Good Times bar, when he was flagged down by male subject regarding a Disorderly subject at the business, and observed the described subject, Felix Lynn Wilson Jr., age 27, of Springfield, walking away from the location. Police contacted Wilson and received information that he had been asked to leave the location several times and refused. Police also received information that Wilson displayed aggressive behavior and had punched a patron and thrown a chair. He was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree.

Robbery 3 – Case 1621082

Police responded to the Home Depot on Seneca Road regarding a male subject who was observed exiting the store without attempting to pay for an item that he had placed on his person. Police contacted the suspect, Mark Andrew Kovach, age 55, of Eugene, at the location and received information that when an employee attempted to stop Kovach from leaving, Kovach yelled at the employee and pushed him. Police arrested Kovach and transported him to the Lane County Jail for Robbery in the Third Degree and Theft in the Third Degree.

Burglary 2 – Case 1621060

Police responded to C & E Rentals regarding an open door with a shattered pane of glass. Police observed the damage to the door and received information that a female subject was observed exiting the building. Police contacted the described subject, Irene Pamela Carey, age 46, of Eugene, who was sitting at the bus stop, and found her in possession of several items belonging to the business. She was arrested for Burglary in the Second Degree and transported to the Lane County Jail.

DUII/Reckless Driving – Case 1621048

A police officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop of a 2005 Audi, after it was observed passing east through the intersection without slowing for the stop sign. The officer contacted the driver, Jacob Keith Peirce, age 25, of Eugene, and after further investigation, he was arrested for DUII and Reckless Driving.

Robbery 3 – Case 1621039

Police responded to Hirons pharmacy and contacted a female subject, Kymbreyona Leean Hampton, age 26, of Eugene, who was with an employee at the location. Police received information that Hampton was observed leaving the store without attempting to pay for an item that she had taken, and was contacted by an employee in the parking lot and subsequently hit the employee in the face. She was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for Robbery in the Third Degree.

DUII – Case 1621010

A police officer conducted a traffic stop of a 2000 Hyundai Accent, after observing the driver failing to drive in a single lane. The officer contacted the driver, Daniel Lee Padilla, age 28, of Eugene, and after further investigation, arrested him for DUII.

DUII – 1621009

A police officer conducted a traffic stop of a Chrysler PT Cruiser, after it was observed traveling south on Lincoln Street, which is a designated one-way road for northbound traffic. The officer contacted the driver, Tailynne Gabrielle Ferwalt, age 25, of Eugene, and after further investigation, arrested her for DUII.

DUII – Case 1621007

A police officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop of a silver sedan after observing it traveling without the headlights activated while dark outside. The officer contacted the driver Nickolas George Gainer, age 28, of Springfield, and after further investigation, he was arrested for DUII.

DUII/Interfering With A Police Officer – Case 1621006

A police officer conducted a traffic stop of a 2002 Subaru Forester after it was observed traveling through a red light without stopping. During contact with the driver, James Nicholas Dougher, age 47, of Eugene, he was uncooperative and attempted to walk away and get back in the vehicle. After further investigation, he was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for DUII and Interfering With A Police Officer. He was also cited for Careless Driving.

Disorderly Conduct/Trespassing 2 – Case 1620944

Police responded to an apartment at the location regarding a dispute and contacted a female subject, Erin Marie Kossol, age 27, of Springfield, who was observed yelling and banging on an apartment door, disturbing neighbors. Kossol refused to leave the location and was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree.

Possession of Methamphetamine/Interfering With Police Officer/Criminal Trespass 2 – Case 1620932

Police responded to the library regarding a female subject who had been screaming and was told to leave and refused. Police contacted the subject, Kami Eileen Pinedo, age 25, of Roseburg, and she was uncooperative with providing identifying information. Following contact with Pinedo, police found information to arrest her for Possession of Methamphetamine, Interfering With A Police Officer and Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree.

Criminal Trespass 2 – Case 1620940

Police responded to the Blind Pig Tavern regarding a male subject who was disturbing customers and refusing to leave, and he had been previously trespassed from the location. Police observed the described subject walking eastbound on Roosevelt, yelling and screaming. The officer contacted the subject, Adam Murray Buxton-Nourse, age 41, of Eugene, and found that he had three warrants for arrest. Buxton-Nourse was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail on the warrants and for Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree.

Possession of Heroin – Case 1620935

A police officer on patrol contacted a male subject, Christopher Joshua Chababi, age 28, of Eugene, who was observed behind a business in an area marked with No Trespassing sign. During contact with Chababi, the officer found information on his person to cite him for Possession of Heroin.

Resisting Arrest, Interfering with Police Officer – Case 1620923

Two officers were on routine downtown patrol. One had investigated a menacing at St. Mary’s Church the previous day and she had a suspect description from that case. The officer noticed a man matching this description walking on W. Broadway from Lincoln and talking to himself. The two officers contacted the man, who is unidentified and in his late 30s. The man refused to stop and resisted both officers. The suspect was lodged at Lane County Jail under “John Doe” for Interfering and Resisting Arrest. The menacing incident is still being investigated.

Non-criminal Hold – Case 1620924

An officer was dispatched to the location regarding a disorderly subject and possible criminal mischief. A local resident had had ongoing issues with a neighbor in his late 50s, who is experiencing mental health issues. The resident’s car antenna had been bent by the neighbor. The officer contacted the man and found that he was having a mental health crisis and took him to a local hospital for care.

Criminal Trespass 2 – Case 1620904

Two officers were sent to the Mercedes Benz dealership regarding a disorderly trespasser. A woman, later identified as Lisa Renea Bettles, age 29, had been trying to open doors of parked employee vehicles. She was refusing to leave. Officers contacted Bettles, who was evasive. She was offered CAHOOTS assistance, but refused. She was given several opportunities to leave, but continued to remain on the property. Officers arrested her and she mildly resisted, but was safely taken into custody on a charge of Criminal Trespass 2.

DUII, Reckless Driving – Case 1620897

Officers were driving on E. Broadway and spotted a Volkswagen Toureg pulled up on their driver’s side going the wrong way with no lights on. They initiated a traffic stop and the VW turned into the Timbers Motel and the driver, Brian Webster Sweeterman, age 40, of Eugene, got out of the vehicle. The officers suspected impairment and after an investigation, Sweeterman was charged with DUII, and Reckless Driving.

Improper Use of Emergency Phone – Case 1620899

An officer was sent to a home after a man there repeatedly called 911 without having any emergency to report. Darryl Christopher Ram, age 63, called 911 21 times between 3:25 p.m. on December 14 to 1:42 a.m. on December 15. Ram indicated he would keep calling and was asking calltakers for their names and badge numbers. The officer contacted Ram, who wasn’t making sense. He began yelling at a second officer and questioning whether she was an officer. Ram was taken into custody on charges of Improper Use of 911.

Possession of Methamphetamine/Disorderly Conduct 2 – Case 1620895

Police responded to the area regarding a male subject, Marquel Djuan Cary, age 19, of Eugene, who was walking in traffic and causing alarm to drivers. Police located the described subject at the intersection of W. 12th Avenue and Chambers Street and found information to arrest him for Possession of Methamphetamine and Disorderly Conduct in the Second Degree. He was transported to the Lane County Jail.


12/14/2016 14:54, 200 DAY ISLAND RD

Theft 3/Criminal Trespass 2 – Case 1620846

On December 13 at approximately 11:55 a.m., police responded to Albertson’s on Coburg Road regarding a shoplifter who had been previously trespassed, and was observed leaving the location on bike without paying for multiple items that he had placed on his person. Police located the described subject, Thomas Bryan Wade, age 47, of Eugene, the following day in Alton Baker Park and contacted him regarding the incident. He was arrested for Theft in the Third Degree and Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree.

Warrant – Case 1620865

An officer was called to Delta Bar regarding a disorderly man in the lottery area. The officer contacted the man and identified him as Mark William Tennent, 55. He advised Tennent to leave the premise, which Tennent did. After Tennent left, the officer found out Tennent had a Parole and Probation warrant for Possession of Methamphetamine. The officer located Tennent at Walmart and arrested him on the warrant without incident.

Non-criminal Hold – Case 1620862

An officer was sent to the area regarding a 30-year-old man who was being held down by his friends in a vehicle. The friends advised he had taken marijuana the day before and had been up all night and all day. They had been trying to transport him to a hospital and the man had launched himself into the front windshield with his head, so they tried to restrain him. Officers arrived to find the friends holding the man down in the back seat. The man was incoherent and actively trying to get out of the car. Two officers were able to move him from the vehicle to some grass nearby. He was actively resisting, but officers were able to handcuff him quickly and without incident. Medics were called to provide medical attention and they transported him to a hospital for further care.

An officer was dispatched to the area for a man, later identified as Justin Acthsion Curtis, age 42, of Eugene, who was running in traffic and causing vehicles to swerve and/or stop to avoid hitting him. The officer located Curtis inside the Albertson’s at River Road and Division. The officer took Curtis into custody after medics checked him out. He struggled when officers tried to put him in the patrol vehicle, but he eventually became cooperative. He was charged with Disorderly Conduct.

An officer spotted a man he knew to have a warrant for probation violation for Sexual Assault. The man, Guy Vernon Aiken, age 34, was walking on Hwy 99N near Roosevelt. The officer contacted Aiken and arrested him without incident on the warrant.

Green Health Associates noticed that a sample jar of marijuana had been stolen and identified a customer, Melinda Kaye Schield, age 54, as the suspect. An officer located her on Hwy 99N and after an investigation, found she had a warrant for Theft 3. He took her into custody on the warrant and a new probable cause charge of Theft 3.

On December 9, police responded to AutoRama on River Road regarding a forgery and received information that the suspect, Huston Ray Denham, age 27, of Eugene, attempted to purchase a vehicle using a stolen check. On December 13, police responding to an unrelated call, located Denham and contacted him regarding the information, and arrested him for Theft in the First Degree, Identity Theft and Forgery in the Second Degree. He was transported to the Lane County Jail on the charges.

Police responded to Berg’s Ski Shop regarding a shoplifter who was stopped by employees after running from the store without paying for an item of clothing he had taken. Police contacted the suspect, Brian Christopher Pasquali, age 41, of Eugene, who was with employees, and found that he had two warrants for arrest. Pasquali was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail on the warrants and cited for Theft in the Second Degree.

Police responded to a residence at the location and contacted James Michael Shodin, age 36, regarding information of an assault that happened around 2:45 p.m. on December 6. Police received information that a 64-year-old male victim was standing in the parking strip of the roadway when a Chevrolet SUV, driven by Shodin, passed him at a close distance. Shodin then got out of his vehicle and was observed approaching the victim and knocked him to the ground. Following contact with Shodin, he was arrested and transported to the Lane County Jail for Reckless Driving and Assault.

A police officer was in the area and observed a stolen 1995 Toyota Camry that was parked in the Safeway parking lot. The officer contacted the male subject, Christopher Edward Loualillier-Jones, age 26, of Eugene, who was in the driver’s seat and after further investigation, he was arrested for Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, Possession of Methamphetamine and two warrants. Loualillier-Jones received an additional charge of False Information to Police Officer for providing false identifying information to officers during the investigation.

Robbery 1, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Criminal Mischief 2 – Case 1619322

On November 15, an officer was flagged down by a woman who reported a food cart at the location (Reality Kitchen Cart), had been attacked. A man, later identified as John Broderick, age 18, of Eugene, is reported to have grabbed some items from the food cart, thrown them around and then come back to the cart. The employee picked up a crowbar to defend himself, but Broderick took the bar, threatened the employee and smashed a window in the food cart with it. Broderick was reported to be headed north on Olive Street. Officers were quickly on scene and found Broderick by the side of the Atrium building. However, he did not fit the description aired for the suspect and police released him on scene. Further investigation found Broderick to be the suspect and he was found and arrested on December 10 at 10:42 p.m., at 960 Olive Street. He was charged with Robbery 1, Unlawful Use Weapon, and Criminal Mischief 2.

Police were called to a local hospital after a 40-year-old man arrived in a taxi, with a stab wound. Other patrol officers also responded to search for a possible location of the incident and found a possible crime scene at some apartments in the 100 block of Jefferson Street. They located evidence. An investigation showed that the victim had been drinking with the suspect, who police later identified as Alejandro Sanchez-Flores, age 29. They had an argument during which the victim was stabbed, sustaining a non-life threatening injury. An officer located the Sanchez-Flores at the horse shoe pits at Washington-Jefferson Park and arrested for Assault 1.

A Eugene Police officer working at the Eugene Airport was contacted by an Oregon Taxi driver who dropped a man off who appeared to have been doing something suspicious. It was reporter his rider, later identified as Eston Blackerby, age 35, had taken mail from several mail boxes prior to their arrival, then did not pay the taxi fare. The officer found Blackerby in the terminal and found that he was not planning to take a flight. Blackerby was cited for Theft of Services. Police are still investigating the circumstances regarding the mail.

Officers were dispatched to a reported dispute between a man and woman in the 300 block of E. Broadway. The man, Mark Andrew Kovach, age 55, had a warrant for his arrest out of Lane County Circuit Court for Failure to Comply-Strangulation and Failure to Comply-Assault 4. When officers went to contact the man, he jogged away on foot. Officers caught up and took him into custody on the warrants, and also charged him with Interfering with Peace Officer and Violation of Release Agreement.

An officer spotted a Honda Accord speeding on W. 6th and he stopped the vehicle. Upon contacting the driver, Aaron Johnathon Moville, age 25, of Eugene, he suspected Moville was impaired. After an investigation, Moville was charged with Speeding and DUII.

Police responded to the onramp of Ferry Street Bridge from East 7th Avenue for a rollover crash, and observed a 2015 Hyundai Elantra on its driver’s side in the brush on the west side of the roadway, and the occupants of the vehicle standing in the parking lot of Good Times. Police contacted the driver of the vehicle, David Nathaniel Bonds, age 36, and after further investigation, he was charged with DUII, Reckless Driving and Reckless Endangering. Medics evaluated the occupants of the vehicle at the scene.

Menacing APA, Aggravated Harassment, Interfering, Coercion, Warrants – Case 1620657

Officers were sent to a dispute at a home between a woman and a man, later identified as Albert David Dambrosio, age 44, of Eugene. He was reported to possibly be armed with a gun or knife. Officers arrived and heard a dispute in progress. Dambrosio abruptly opened the front door and stepped outside, putting both hands in his pockets and refusing all requests to expose his hands. He was cursing and yelling at both officers. Both officers took control of his arms and tried to place him in hand-cuffs and he resisted and spit in one officer’s face several time. Despite this, the officers were able to get Dambrosio into handcuffs, but he continued to raise to resist. Other officers arrived and managed to get Dambrosio to the ground. Dambrosio was transported to a local hospital for superficial scrapes. While at the hospital, Dambrosio was disorderly and upset the staff. He was lodged at Lane County Jail and charged with Menacing APA, Aggravated Harassment, Interfering, Coercion, and warrants.

Officers  responded to the location for two pedestrians who had been struck in the crosswalk, on the north side of the intersection by an SUV. The investigation showed the driver of the SUV had been eastbound on Irving and was waiting to go north on River Road. The driver, Dennis Lee Olson, Jr., age 50, of Eugene, had an opening in traffic, and made his turn , failing to see the pedestrians who were crossing legally. Both pedestrians, Steven Edward Suth, age 68, and Gabriella U Suth, age 50, both of Eugene were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Olson was cited for careless driving and failing to yield to pedestrians.

Police located the suspect, Rebecca Lauren Shanklin, age 28, of Eugene, and arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree. She was transported to the Lane County Jail.

Police responded to the HiFi Music Hall regarding a disorderly subject who was escorted outside the location and displayed combative behavior with employees. Police contacted the subject, Noah Thomas Dawson, age 23, of Eugene, who was with employees, and received information that he was escorted outside after jumping on stage while a band was performing and caused a disruption. Dawson was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and transported to the Lane County Jail.

Police responded to University District Hospital regarding a disorderly trespasser who spit in the face of an employee and became aggressive after he was told to leave. Police received information that employees attempted to restrain the subject, Bo James Simmons, age 31, after he attempted to hit the employee, and an unknown male subject, later identified as Eli Jacob Perini, age 34, of Dorena, came across the street and interjected himself in the dispute and hit one of the employees in the back. Police contacted and arrested both Simmons and Perini for Disorderly Conduct and Harassment, and transported both subjects to the Lane County Jail. Simmons received an additional charge for Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree and it was found that he had a warrant for arrest.

Police contacted Writer at the store and arrested her for Theft in the Second Degree and Harassment. She was transported to the Lane County Jail.

Police responded to the area regarding a driver that left the area after his 1988 Ford F-250 hit a City of Eugene light pole. Police received information that after the driver helped move the pole out of the road, he left the area in the vehicle, traveling west on W. 6th Avenue. Police contacted the driver, Kyle Joseph Costa, age 56, of Eugene, at a residence on the 3800 block of Pattison Street, and observed extensive damage to the front of the truck. He was cited for Hit and Run (Property Damage), and Driving Uninsured.

Police responded to the Side Pocket Tavern regarding a male subject, Levi Isaac Baker, age 36, of Eugene, who was being detained by patrons after making threats toward an employee. When officers arrived, they contacted him, and he continued to disregard directions from the officers and he presented a safety concern to people in the area. He was eventually taken into custody with the use of a taser and arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree.

Police responded to the area regarding a vehicle that struck two pedestrians, one which was transported to the hospital with non life threatening injuries. Police received information that a man, age 25, and woman, age 24, were walking across the intersection in the crosswalk on a walking signal when they were struck by a Lexus SUV turning north onto Willamette Street from E. 25th Avenue. Police contacted the driver, Lynn Karen Murray, age 62, of Eugene, and cited her for Failing to Yield to Pedestrians in Crosswalk.

A police officer conducted a traffic stop of a 1991 GMC Safari after observing that the vehicle had expired tags. During contact with the driver of the vehicle, Patrick Frederick McColligan, age 49, of Eugene, police found information to cite him for Driving While Suspended and Driving Without Insurance. During the traffic stop, police also found information to arrest McColligan for Possession of Methamphetamine. He was transported to the Lane County Jail.

Criminal Trespass 2/Interfering With Police Officer - 1620408

Police responded to the Market of Choice grocery store regarding two male subjects who refused to leave and yelled at employees. Police located the subjects, Trenton Murry Zayic, age 20, of Eugene, and Reno Ray Palmer, age 23, of Eugene, in the parking lot and contacted them regarding the incident. During contact with the subjects, both subjects yelled at the officer and Zayic became increasingly aggressive and refused to follow direction. They were both eventually cited for Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree. Zayic received an additional charge of Interfering With a Police Officer, and was transported to the Lane County Jail on the charges.

Menacing, Felon in Possession of Restricted Weapon, Possession of Heroin, Warrant – Case 1620372

Officers were sent to a home where there was a burglary in progress. The suspect, later identified as Jason Samuel Parsons, age 35, of Springfield, entered the residence and commanded the 30-year-old female victim to stay inside of her room, threatening to shoot her if she didn’t comply. She called 911. Officers found Parsons leaving through the front door and quickly detained him. Parsons, a felon, was in possession of a concealed stun gun and a restricted weapon (spring-assisted knife), heroin, and had a warrant for his arrest. He was charged with Menacing, Felon in Possession of Restricted Weapon, Possession of Heroin, and the warrant. The woman was not physically harmed during the incident.

Robbery 2 – Case 1620371

Officers responded to Washington/Jefferson Skatepark for report of an assault the suspect still on scene. When officers arrived, the suspect, later identified as  Joshua Orin Tonkin, age 28, was pushing his bicycle down Washington Street. A 23-year-old man from Eugene advised he was assaulted by Tonkin and a group of other people in the Washington/Jefferson Park. He had gone to the park to locate his bike that had been stolen the day before. He saw the bike with the group and tried to get it back, but the group yelled at him. He reported being pushed and shoved by the group, and then having Tonkin swing a knife toward him. Officers found some of the victim’ property on him as well as another person’s credit card. The victim’s bike was recovered.

Officers spotted a group of people smoking near the children’s play structure in Scobert Gardens Park. When officers contacted one woman in the group, later identified as Katelyn Marie Faye Glass, age 23, they found she had a warrant. She had also been restricted from the park. She had a credit card in someone else’s name. She was taken into custody on the warrant and also charged with Criminal Trespass 2.

Possession of Meth, Violation Park Rules, Warrant – Case 1620328

Officers were dispatched to the park along I-105 to check on two tents. Both tents were inside the fence line to the park, which was posted with a sign prohibiting camping. Officers contacted three people to warn them about prohibited camping. One of the men, later identified as Jordan Ryan Ausmus-Lovell, age 26, refused to show his face. Others inside failed to acknowledge requests for them to exit the tent and were not taking any steps to remove it or come out. The officers were eventually able to get the subjects outside and detain them for Violation of Park Rules. Jordan was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. Another subject, Brandon Francesco Blair, age 31, of Veneta, was found to have three warrants. The third subject, Denise Kathryn Looney, age 21, was cited in lieu of custody for Violation of Park Rules. Jordan was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Methamphetamine and Violation of Park Rules. Blair was taken into custody for the three confirmed warrants and also charged with Violation of Park Rules.

UUMV, Possession of Stolen Vehicle, Elude-Vehicle, Possession of Burglary Tools, Felon in Possession Restricted Weapon, Reckless Driving, and two warrants.

An officer spotted a driver travelling slowly, hitting the brakes for no reason, and failing to maintain a lane. The officer was concerned the driver, later identified as Michael Joseph Morales, age 30, of Eugene,  might be impaired and the officer initiated a traffic stop at Space Age gas station. Morales fled in the vehicle, which turned out to be stolen, driving oddly, and stopping briefly for a passenger to get out. The stolen vehicle was later located parked at a home in the 4000 block of Langton. Officers  and a K9 were able to find Morales inside the residence and took him into custody for UUMV, Possession of Stolen Vehicle, Elude-Vehicle, Possession of Burglary Tools, Felon in Possession Restricted Weapon, Reckless Driving, and two warrants.

K9 Capture, Theft 2 from Vehicle, Criminal Mischief, Resisting Arrest, Warrant – Case 1620326

Officers responded to call of a prowler who was reported to have tried two days earlier to steal a bike from the cage near the property. Officers found the suspect, later identified as Dustin Shannon, age 21, inside a vehicle parked at the location. He refused commands to exit and made furtive movements in several bags inside the vehicle. Shannon got out and tried to run. An officer got control of Shannon and got him on the ground, but Shannon was resisting and trying to get away. A K9 officer arrived and the K9 helped take Shannon into custody.  Shannon had a warrant and was taken into custody on the warrant and also charged with Unauthorized Entry Motor Vehicle, Criminal Mischief 2, Interfering W/Police, Theft 2, and Resisting Arrest.

An officer saw a vehicle exit a private drive and speed eastbound on W. 11th. The vehicle was crossing the double yellow line down McKinley. The officer performed a traffic stop and contacted the driver, later identified as Colin Baker, age 24, of Cottage Grove, and suspected impairment. After an investigation, Baker was charged with DUII.

Officers were sent to Motel 66 regarding a disorderly woman, later identified as Karissa Kristina Kroll, age 28, who was refusing to leave the location. She was reported to have walked into another guest’s room and when he told her to leave, she yelled and spat in his face.  When officers got there, they found Kroll standing in the parking lot yelling. They contacted her and asked her to walk to their vehicle. She threw herself on the ground yelling. She screamed and resisted arrest. The two officers disengaged and waited for backup officers. When they arrived, Kroll resisted again and had to be placed into restraints and carried to the patrol vehicle. She was charged with Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Trespass 2.

An officer observed a Jeep going eastbound on E. 18th Avenue without its headlights on. It was also driving over into the bike lane and failing to maintain its lane. The officer initiated a traffic stop and contacted the driver, Danielle Elizabeth Prins, age 21, of Eugene. He suspected Prins was impaired and after an investigation charged her with DUII and Driving without Lights.

Minor in Possession of Liquor, Disorderly Conduct – Case 1620325

An officer observed a man, later identified as Reed Joseph Mederos, age 18, of Eugene, wandering in the Dutch Brothers Coffee parking lot naked except for a blanket over his shoulders. He walked up the coffee stand, and when he spotted the officer, he put his shorts back on. The officer contacted him to warn him about Prohibited Nudity and Mederos argued about this and appeared intoxicated. The officer warned Mederos to stay out of the road and use the sidewalks. Mederos made a rude comment to the officer as he walked away. Mederos walked into the center of Olive Street and down the road while playing on his cell phone, looking back at the officer from time to time. The officer followed to try and direct him out of the roadway. Finally, as it was not safe for traffic to drive in either direction on Olive, the officer arrested Mederos and charged him with Disorderly Conduct and cited him for being a Minor in Possession of Liquor.

Police responded to the area near Clear Lake Elementary school regarding a vehicle/bicycle crash. When police arrived, officers received information that a 2005 Toyota Scion, driven by Vicki Jeanine McVay, age 61, of Eugene, had been observed drifting back and forth into the bike lane when it struck a 16-year-old bicyclist. The bicyclist was evaluated at the scene by medics for a minor injury to the leg, and after further investigation, McVay was arrested for Reckless Endangering, DUII and Reckless Driving.

Police responded to the area regarding a vehicle that crashed into a tree, and received information that the driver was walking away from the scene. When police arrived, officers observed a damaged parking sign in the street, which had been broken at the base, and a large tree, several feet in diameter, which had also been damaged at the base. Police located the driver, Abner Abelardo AlvarezTorres, age 22, of Eugene, walking westbound from the crash, and contacted him regarding the incident. An officer was on patrol in the area when he observed a gray Toyota Prius traveling southbound on Olive Street from W. 8th Avenue without the headlights activated while dark outside. The officer conducted a traffic stop and contacted the driver, Laura Foseca Andrew, age 35, of Eugene. After further investigation, she was charged with DUII.

DUII/Interfering With Police Officer – Case 1620275

Police responded to the area regarding a possible DUII driver in a 1991 maroon Dodge Shadow at the Carl’s Jr. restaurant on Echo Hollow Road. Police located the driver, Teresa Marie Holt, age 58, of Eugene, a short  time later in the parking lot of Fairfield Elementary, and contacted her regarding the information. During contact with the officers, Holt refused to follow direction and remove herself from the car. After further investigation, she was arrested for DUII and Interfering With A Police Officer.

Assault – Case 1620266

Police responded to a residence on Ross Lane regarding an assault, and received information that following a verbal dispute between two male subjects known to each other, the suspect Samyon Elv Judisimo Pendergrass, age 40, hit the 57-year-old male victim in the face resulting in minor injuries. Following contact with Pendergrass, police charged him with Assault.

Disorderly Conduct – Case 1620258

A police officer was driving eastbound on Beltline Highway when traffic came to a complete stop. The officer was subsequently flagged down by a driver of another vehicle who alerted him to  a dispute between the drivers of two vehicles that were blocking both lanes of eastbound traffic. During contact with the drivers, the officer found information to cite Jordon Matthew Mugford, age 27, of Eugene, for Driving Without Privileges, and cited Jarrett Walter Hlebechuk, age 41, of Springfield, for Driving While Suspended. Both were also cited in lieu of custody for Disorderly Conduct.

DUII – 1620208

A police officer was in the area when he observed a Nissan Versa traveling southbound on Patterson Street from E. 11th Avenue without the headlights activated while dark outside. The officer conducted a traffic stop, and contacted the driver Patrick Butler, age 23, of Eugene. After further investigation, Butler was charged with DUII, Driving Uninsured and Driving Without Headlights. He was transported to the Lane County Jail.

Criminal Mischief – Case 1620246

Police responded to the area regarding a female subject who was yelling and disrupting businesses in the area. The officer located and contacted the subject, Rebecca Lauren Shanklin, age 28, of Eugene, and found that she had a warrant for arrest and was transported to the Lane County Jail on the warrant. During contact with Shanklin, police received information that she was involved in an incident at a residence on the 1100 block of W. 3rd Avenue on November 30, where several items in the front yard of a residence where damaged and plants pulled from the ground. Following contact with Shanklin, the officer charged her for Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree.
