Borrowing: hold requests

  • Currently, hold requests are the primary way to borrow physical items at all library locations. This method makes it possible to maximize library services while minimizing the number of people in the buildings at the same time.

Borrowing: counter service

  • Staff-assisted counter service is available indoors at the Downtown Library.
  • This option is designed for those who don’t have easy online or phone access to place hold requests.
  • You can ask for particular titles or get recommendations. We will gather chosen items and deliver them to you in a designated waiting area.

Returning

Renewing

  • You will receive a notice by email or text message when due dates are coming up.
  • Loans are automatically renewed for another 21-day period, unless all renewals have been used, someone else has requested the item, or your account is expiring soon.
  • Renew items online  or call for staff assistance.
  • If an item is already overdue when you renew it, fines will be charged for the time between loans.
