Internet Use

  • Free Internet access for cardholders: 60 or 90 minute sessions, max. 3 hours per day.  
  • Users without a valid Eugene Public Library card may purchase one-hour Internet passes for $3.00 or use the 7 free 20-minute Internet computers available at the Downtown Library; first-come, first-served basis (2nd floor).
  • Adaptive technology workstations serve those who have a need for specific adaptive software or hardware and are unable to use the Library’s other computers.

  • Free, unsecured Wi-Fi access at all Library locations.

Borrow a laptop computer

  • At Bethel and Sheldon Branches only.
  • Seven-day loan period. No renewals. Overdue fine: $10 per day.
  • Library card required (must have been a cardholder for at least 30 days).
  • Photo ID required.
  • First come, first served. No reservations.

Computers and Word Processing

  • Anyone can use designated Library computers for Microsoft Office applications, Winway resume maker, Info Hub online resources (e.g., databases), and the Library catalog. No library card required.
  • Learn to use a computer: find self-guided study and information about classes on the Library’s Technology Learning guide.

Copying, Printing, and Scanning

  • Mobile printing is available at all Library locations
  • Downtown: B/W and color printers and photocopiers. Scan to USB. Print from USB (PDF, TIF, JPG).
  • Bethel and Sheldon Branch: B/W printing, color printing, no photocopier or scanner.
