Meeting and Study Rooms

Free Study and Meeting Rooms at the Downtown Library

There are three small rooms available to use free of charge for online, in-person, or phone meetings, appointments, or study. Due to limited availability, reservations are recommended: call 541-682-5450.

  • For online meetings requiring the use of library equipment: this room offers a library computer, webcam, and microphone to attend online video/audio meetings or appointments (for example, Zoom or Skype). Only one person is allowed in this room at a time (plus an assistant if needed). Reserve up to one week in advance.
  • For study, in-person meetings, landline phone use, or online meetings using your own phone or computer: two rooms are available for sessions of up to two hours.  Both rooms provide a landline phone and a whiteboard. One room can be used by a group of up to six people. The other room serves up to four people and has a typewriter. Reserve up to one day in advance.

Rental Requirements

All meetings and programs must be free and open to the public. Meeting rooms are not available for events where money is raised. The exchange of money for goods or services by renter is prohibited.


Rooms may be rented no more than once a month by the same person/group. All rooms are scheduled on a first come, first served basis with priority scheduling going to the library, library-affiliated groups and other City of Eugene departments.


To check on meeting room availability or for additional information, call Library Administration at 541-682-5454 (Monday through Friday, 10 am-3 pm) or email us. Application is due two weeks prior to the event date. Deposit must be submitted with application.
