In 2019 we'll be holding one special Sunday Streets event Downtown on September 22, from 12-4pm. The day will kick off with the EUG Parade from 11am-12pm and the route will include a loop around 8th Avenue, Monroe Street, Broadway, and Oak Street. There will be activity centers at the Park Blocks, Monroe Park, and Kesey Square.
This free community event is made possible by volunteer support and enthusiasm, thank you Sunday Streets volunteers. For each shift you volunteer, you will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win prizes. Previous years prizes have included a Courtsports Athletic Club gift package, gift cards from Off the Waffle, Gilt & Gossamer, Heritage Dry Goods, and Arriving By Bike, and a Burley Travoy Trailer!
Participate in Sunday Street for free if you table at an intersection or make money for your organization if you recruit volunteers!
If your organization would like a table at Sunday Streets, with a waived registration fee, we can put your booth on the event route at an intersection, and have your organization also act as intersection superheroes.
If route participants have questions about the event or if a car tries to get on the route, you help facilitate the flow and answer questions with the resources we provide (route maps and programs). Your booth will be in the middle of the action and be frequented by people passing by - so this is a win-win!
We will donate money to your non-profit, community, school group, or club if you help us recruit volunteers for Sunday Streets.
