Hay Peterson - Office Coordinator

Hay (they/them) joined Amazon Community Center in January of 2022. New to Eugene as of 2020, they are excited to become more involved in the community through their role at ACC’s front desk. Hay has a background in creative writing and teaching, as well as a love of all kinds of play—team sports, board games, made up games—you name it, they’ll probably play it. When not at work, Hay enjoys reading, hiking, working on house projects, and spending time with their partner and four pets.  Email Hay

Michael Cole - Program Assistant

Michael (he/him) is truly a jack of all trades here at Amazon. Depending on the day, you can find Michael teaching art to youth, taking folks on scenic trips, scheduling a multitude of classes and even tediously mopping gym mats. Working with Michael may result in finding boxes of orphaned vegetables on your doorstep from his over abundant garden. Email Michael

Nicole Cooksley 2022

Nicole Cooksley - Inclusion Services Coordinator

Nicole (she/her) comes to the City of Eugene from Southeast Louisiana where she has a background in special education and hospitality. Something she enjoys about working in Recreation is being able to work with and experience the variety of programs that are offered through the community centers. In her time away from work, Nicole can be found baking up a sweet batch of desserts, cooking savory new recipes, taking a day trip to the coast and spending time with her friends, family and her two cats. Gina Tafoya 2022

Gina Tafoya - Program Supervisor & Facility Manager

Gina (she/her) began working in Recreation in 2003. She started out as a Roving Artist in the Parks for the Fun For All youth program and is still at work creating arts opportunities for the community. Her great joy is to work with all the members of the community who find their way to southeast Eugene’s best kept secret, the community center. She has a passionate belief in offering learning experiences disguised as fun for people of all ages. When not at the center, she will be either painting (pictures, not houses) or hanging out with a myriad of pets, but most likely…cleaning stalls. Email Gina
