In 2015, BEST advocated for the Eugene City Council to adopt a Vision Zero Resolution that set as official policy the vision zero goal that no loss of life or serious injury on Eugene’s transportation system is acceptable.
BEST’s mission is to promote a thriving, equitable, and sustainable Eugene-Springfield area with a world-class network of safe, practical, and affordable options for people to ride the bus, bicycle, and walk. BEST pursues this mission by educating the public, convening community leaders, helping forge consensus, and advocating in the public interest.
Oregon and Southwest Washington Families for Safe Streets is comprised of victims of traffic violence and families whose loved ones have been killed or severely injured by aggressive or reckless driving and dangerous conditions in Oregon and Southwest Washington.
