The Overnight Parking Program provides safe and legal places in the community for unhoused people to sleep in their vehicles or in Conestoga huts. Sites are located in the parking lots of religious institutions, businesses, and public or private entities, with permission of the property owners. One to six vehicles are allowed per site, and all sites must have access to restrooms and trash service for people staying in their vehicles on the property.
St. Vincent de Paul, through an agreement and funding from the City, manages the Overnight Parking Program. In addition to the required sanitary facilities, they provide camper screening, placement, and linkages to services at no cost to the host site.
