May is Bike Month

May is Bike Month

City of Eugene Transportation, along with regional partners, hosts May is Bike Month each May. A month of FREE rides, events, classes, and fun, all centered around biking.

Nationally celebrated since 1956, May is Bike Month has been celebrated in Eugene and Springfield since 2014. Bike Month events showcases the many benefits of biking such as enjoying the outdoors, using active transportation options to commute, and encourage new riders to give biking a try. Don’t have a bike? PeaceHealth Rides bike share is a great option! For more information about May is Bike Month, and for a full calendar of all ages, all levels events, visit webikelane.org.

May is STILL Bike Month 2020

Due to COVID-19 policies, we are changing how we celebrate May is Bike Month 2020. We are still encouraging people to get out and ride for fun and exercise (while physical distancing) as well as for essential errands and trips. There will not be any in-person speakers and events, instead we are planning a fun lineup of ONLINE self-guided rides, events, and how-to videos, and we hope you’ll join us.

Visit the May Is Bike Month: Lane County Facebook page or webikelane.org for details and updates on 2020 online events and resources for getting out and riding throughout May!
