Listening Sessions at Echo Hollow Pool

Posted on December 6, 2018 at 3:15 PM by Sarah Rankin

We are thrilled the community enthusiastically voted for the future of Eugene Parks and Recreation by passing the bond and levy this past spring. Now we are excited to let everyone know about the start of planning for the Echo Hollow Pool & Fitness Center renovation project.

Starting Dec. 11, we invite all members of the public to participate in one of four listening sessions to get an overview of the potential scope of the project and share opinions and insights. We are excited to hear your thoughts and encourage you to attend one of the sessions before construction begins next year.

Our City of Eugene project staff and the architectural design consultant want to hear from you about aquatics programs, activities and features you would like to see included in our new and renovated pools, suggestions you have for enhancements and improvements to the facility as well as any concerns regarding access to programs when Echo Hollow Pool is under construction.

Your opinions and suggestions will be directly considered in development of the final proposed scope of the project. There will be additional opportunities to review the progress of the work during the course of the spring — so stay tuned for further announcements!

The details for the four listening sessions are listed below, as well as a general timeline for the length of the project. We look forward to hearing your thoughts and suggestions!
