Windfall Reading Series

Wednesday, February 21, 2024

Hear Eugene writers Adam Horvath and Paul Neville.

Join Lane Literary Guild and Eugene Public Library for our February Windfall Reading in person at the Downtown Library or livestreamed.

Adam Horvath "was infected by Chaucerian irony while studying English at Columbia and never recovered." He is the author of "Melancholia," which he says is “not as grim as it sounds”; "Conundrums"; and a chapbook, "Flamingo Heaven and Other Lofty Concerns." His translation of "Suicide Prohibited in Springtime" by the Spanish playwright Alejandro Casona was performed on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s radio network. He served as a senior book editor for university presses (Cambridge, Case Western Reserve, and Indiana).

Paul Neville is an award-winning writer who has worked at daily newspapers including The Register-Guard in Eugene. His first novel, "The Garbage Brothers,” is a funny and poignant coming-of-age story that Kirkus Reviews calls "a colorful, big-hearted novel about a summer of hauling trash.” Neville is also a singer/songwriter. He is currently working on a new novel, “Chasing Sam Bradbury.”
