All City of Eugene administrative offices and the Hult Center Ticket Office will be closed on Jan. 1. The Downtown Library, all branches and book returns are closed on New Year’s Day. The Downtown Library will close at 6 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. The Hult Center ticket office will be open on New Year's Eve, Tuesday, Dec. 31. Hult Center ticket purchases, many Library services, and registration for Recreation programs are available online 24/7.
Sheldon Pool and Fitness Center will be closed for annual maintenance through Jan. 4; Echo Hollow Pool & Fitness Center will operate on a holiday schedule through Jan. 5 (call 541-682-5525 for details). The pool will close at 5 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31, and will be closed on New Year’s Day. All Community Centers are closed New Year’s Day.
Police, fire, medical and other emergency services will be provided as usual on Jan. 1. The main police station on Country Club Road is open 365 days a year. The Downtown Public Safety Station and the West University Public Safety Station will be closed on Jan. 1.
Around-the-clock health and safety services, such as regional wastewater treatment, will continue without interruption on the holiday. Parking is free on Jan. 1 for City-managed on-street meters, garages and surface lots, except for event parking.

All City offices and facilities will return to regular hours on the Thursday following the holiday, Jan. 2. The next holiday observed by the City of Eugene is Martin Luther King’s birthday, Jan. 20.
