The City of Eugene Winter/Spring Recreation Guide has hundreds of fun, healthful, and entertaining things to do for all ages from January through May – including spring break camps! The cover of the new Guide features a father and daughter playing disc golf – one of the fastest growing sports in the U.S. – on the new course in Alton Baker Park.
Many other parent/child activities are listed in the new Guide, including Family Fun with Clay, Family Fit Friday, Parent Child Martial Arts, and Family Snowshoe Day.
Other listings include outdoor activities, sports such as archery, soccer, and adult leagues; fitness classes such as Zumba, health and wellness programs, life-long learning, swimming and water fitness, regional trips, and social activities. The virtual guide makes it easy to register for classes, too, with links directly to the registration page for each activity.
If you’re on the free subscription list, expect to receive the paper guide by mail this week. You can sign up to receive the guide by mail (beginning with the Summer edition) at http:www//eugene-or.gov/recguide. Paper guides will also be available for pick-up at any City community center, swimming pool, or library, and at many other public offices around town.
