The Budget Committee and City Council are conducting in-depth discussions on how to address the continuing budget gap.The Committee has presented six FY15 Budget Gap Options for public feedback. Five of the six options present different combinations of service reductions, while the sixth option calls for a citywide across-the-board reduction of 2% for all departments to determine their own reductions.
The public is invited to comment at meetings on:
- Tues., Jan. 21, 5:30 p.m., Harris Hall, Lane County building, 125 E. Eighth Ave.
- Tues., Jan. 28, 5:30 p.m., Bascom/Tykeson Room, Downtown Eugene Public Library, 10th & Olive
Following these meetings, the City Manager will finalized his Proposed Budget for consideration and additional public hearings before the Budget Committee and City Council in the spring.
