[ARCHIVED] Storm Update: Morning Commute Will Be Messy

Public Works is responding to more than 300 reports of down trees and limbs in the right of way. Stay away from fallen trees, particularly if any type of wiring is visible. Plowing continues on priority routes. Many streets have lanes plowed but turn lanes are still covered with slush and snow.

The morning commute looks to be messy. The most difficult part may be the portion of the journey on neighborhood streets, which may still have broken limbs and deep slush on them.

During ice-snow emergencies, on-street parking on priority transportation routes is banned. The ban allows emergency vehicles and snow-removal equipment to travel safely on roadways to respond to emergency situations. To view a map of priority routes, go to
