[ARCHIVED] Man Arrested for Assault 2 After Dispute Outside Tavern

At 8:44 Saturday night, 32-year-old Rodolfo Zambrano of Eugene and a 47-year-old Eugene man were in an argument inside the Horsehead Bar, 99 W. Broadway. Both were asked to leave. According to witnesses, once outside the dispute continued.

According to bystanders, Zambrano shoved the victim and punched him in the face, which knocked him unconscious and caused him to fall and strike his head on the sidewalk.

Zambrano ran from the area and was spotted by Eugene Police Officers, who pursued him for a short distance before catching him and taking him into custody. The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. Zambrano was lodged for Assault in the Second Degree and a Parole Violation.
