[ARCHIVED] Free Run, Jump, Throw Clinic on March 22

A free Run, Jump, Throw Clinic for kids age 5-12 years will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 22, at Hayward Field on the U or O campus. It’s free, but participants must register. To avoid waiting in line on site the day of the event, participants can pre-register March `17-21 at Sheldon Community Center, 2445 Willakenzie Dr., during business hours, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

At the clinic, kids will participate in the long jump, hurdles, sprint, and throwing a turbo javelin Oregon Track Club Elite track athletes and members of the UO track team will be at the meet to encourage participants and provide tips.

Families are encouraged to attend and cheer for their track athlete. All participants will receive a ribbon and a snack. A group photo of all participants and event photos will be posted on the TrackTown website.
