Eugene’s annual Earth Day Celebration will bring music, a major plant sale, and other festive and educational activities on Saturday, April 19 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at EWEB's River Edge Plaza. The 16th annual Earth Day event is being organized by a coalition of public agencies, nonprofit organizations, and others. Visitors can learn about ways to make our homes, our lives, and our community more sustainable.
Live music will feature The Norma Fraser Band, Green Mountain Bluegrass Band and The Henry Cooper Band. Join us for activities for kids, a plant sale by the Lane County Master Gardeners, over 50 information and activity booths, free bike safety check, and the announcement of a winner of two Greenpower grants up to $50,000 for a local renewable energy project, and more. The event is free and will be happening rain or shine.
LTD will be offering free bus rides throughout the Eugene-Springfield area that day.
