[ARCHIVED] EPD Receives Call of "Mountain Lion," Sighting Near Maury Jacobs Park

This morning at 6:21, Central Lane 9-1-1 received a call advising of a ‘mountain lion’ near the entrance to Maury Jacobs Park, 150 Fir Lane. The caller reported seeing a mountain lion and its cub near the play area of the preschool. Eugene Police responded to the area and were unable to locate or confirm the sighting. Central Lane 9-1-1 contacted Oregon State Police, who staffs a Game Warden to investigate these types of report. Eugene Police has no further details. ###
