[ARCHIVED] Public Hearing June 23 to Extend MUPTE Suspension

Last year, the City Council suspended the Multiple Unit Property Tax Exemption (MUPTE) to review the program and provide an opportunity to engage stakeholders in the process of reforming it. In May, two meetings were held to collect feedback from neighborhood leaders on proposed changes.

Revisions to the program are still underway, and additional meetings with neighborhood leaders are underway.

The current suspension of MUPTE will expire on July 31. In order to extend the suspension while the revision process continues, City Council will hold a public hearing on extending the suspension until November 30, 2014. At its June 25 work session, City Council is scheduled to take action on extending the suspension.
