All City of Eugene administrative offices and the Hult Center Ticket Office will be closed on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. The Library, all branches and book returns are closed on Christmas & New Year’s Day. The Downtown Library will close at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. The Hult Center ticket office will be open on Wednesday, Dec. 24, and Wednesday, Dec. 31. Hult Center ticket purchases, many Library services, and registration for Recreation programs are available online 24/7.
Sheldon and Echo Hollow Pools and Fitness Centers will be closed Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Both pools will operate on a holiday schedule Dec. 22-Jan. 2 and will close at 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, and New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31. For more information, go to www.eugene-or.gov/aquatics.
All Community Centers are closed Christmas Day and News Year’s Day.
Police, fire, medical and other emergency services will be provided as usual on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. The main police station on Country Club Road is open 365 day a year. The Downtown Public Safety and West University Public Safety Stations will be closed Dec. 24 and 25, as well as Jan. 1. Around-the-clock health and safety services, such as regional wastewater treatment, will continue without interruption on both holidays.
Parking is free for street meters, surface lots, and city-owned garages on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1, except for event parking. On December 26 and January 2, on-street time limits and street meters will be in effect, however, parking is free in all city-owned downtown parking garages.
The Eugene Airport, which is operated by the City of Eugene will be open for business as usual on both holidays. The airport administrative offices will close at 3 p.m. on Christmas Eve and reopen for regular hours on December 26th. Administrative offices will also be closed on New Year’s Day. All City offices and facilities will return to regular hours on the Friday following each holiday, Dec. 26 and Jan. 2. The next holiday observed by the City of Eugene is Martin Luther King’s birthday, Jan. 19.
