[ARCHIVED] City Offices Closed Monday for Martin Luther King Day

All City of Eugene administrative offices, community centers, the Hult Center Ticket Office and all City libraries, including the book returns, will be closed Monday, January 19, for the Martin Luther King holiday. Hult Center ticket purchases, many Library services, and registration for Recreation programs are available online 24/7.

Echo Hollow and Sheldon Pools will operate on a usual Monday schedule. Both pools will hold a “No School Day” swim Monday afternoon. Sheldon, 1:40-3:40 and Echo Hollow,1:30-3:00.

Police, fire, medical and other emergency services will be provided as usual on Jan. 19. The main police station on Country Club Rd. is open 365 day a year, although the West University and Downtown Public Safety Stations will be closed on the holiday. Around-the-clock health and safety services, such as regional wastewater treatment, will continue without interruption. Parking is free on Jan. 19 for City-managed on-street meters, garages and surface lots, except for event parking.

The Eugene Airport, which is operated by the City of Eugene, will be open for business as usual on the holiday. The airport administrative offices will be closed. For flight schedule information, go to www.flyEUG.com or call: 541-682-5544.

All City offices and facilities will return to regular hours on Tuesday, Jan. 20. The next holiday observed by the City of Eugene is Presidents’ Day, Feb. 16.
