Eugene Recreation’s Aquatics program will hold special, mid-afternoon recreation swims when kids are out of school on Monday, Jan. 19. Swimming is a great, fun way to be active, so the additional time for swimming is offered as part of the City’s anti-obesity initiative.
Echo Hollow pool, 1655 Echo Hollow Rd., will hold a rec swim from 1:30-3 p.m. and Sheldon Pool, 2443 Willakenzie Dr.,will hold a rec swim from 1:40-3:40 p.m. Cost of the recreation swim is $3.50 for youth ages 3-17, $4 for adults and discounts for families.
Recreation swims will also be held as usual on Monday: 7-8 p.m. at Echo Hollow and 7:35-8:30 at Sheldon Pool.
