Fatal Crash – Oak Street/ E. 20th Avenue

The Major Collision Investigations team is investigating a fatal crash involving a pedestrian and a St. Vincent DePaul tractor trailer truck that happened at approximately 10:19 a.m. this morning. Oak Street and E. 20th Avenue, were closed until shortly before 2 p.m., while police investigated.
The pedestrian, a 78-year-old female from Eugene, was walking westbound from the Civic Stadium parking lot to 20th/Oak. The 54-year-old male driver of the truck was pulling out of the parking lot to go north on Oak. Names of the involved will be released later today. ###
