Eugene Recreation invites you to register your child – or yourself – in a dance class this spring. Dance is fun and a good workout, too. Most spring classes meet one day a week from early to mid-April for six weeks. Adult classes are about an hour; classes for kids run 30-40 minutes. Fees range from $25 for Belly or beginning Ballet to $45 for Bhangra Dance. Students enrolled in a dance class in June will participate in a recital held that month.
Dance classes for young children include:
• Pre-school Play and Dance (14 mos-3 years)
• Little Dancers (3-4 years)
• Princess Dance Party (3-4 & 4-6)
• Hip Hop Bop and Tots (3-5 years)
• Pre-ballet (4-6 years)
• Pre-dance (4-5 years)
• Tutu Tapping Tots (4-6 years)
Eugene Recreation dance classes for youth age 6-13 begin meeting in March or April to June, including:
• Ballet I & II (6-13 years)
• Ballet II & III (9-13 years)
• Pre-hip hop (6-8 years)
• Hip-Hop I & II (9-16)
• Tap and Jazz (8-13)
And there is a great selection of dance classes for individuals age 16 to adult, including:
• Ballet, Barré and Stretch
• Ballet, II
• Belly Dance I & II
• Bhangra Dance
• Dance fusion
