Due to family notifications and out-of-state family, we are delaying release of any further information so the family can be provided information before it is released publicly. We anticipate that will not happen until tomorrow at the earliest.

We will keep you informed as to when we can provide further updates.


Previously Released Details

At 5:06 p.m. March 30, a man who was the subject of a suicidal subject call in the Bethel area, was shot by a responding officer. The person is deceased. Next of kin have not yet been notified so no names or other identifying information can be provided at this time. No officers were injured during the incident.

Interagency Deadly Use of Force Investigation Team has been called in to provide an independent Investigation per IDFIT protocols.
