At 2:36 Saturday morning, July 11, Eugene Police officers were dispatched to 4785 Teralee after report of shots fired. When they arrived at the home, police found the residence was on fire and called for Eugene Springfield Fire. Once the fire was out, the bodies of two deceased persons, a man and a woman were found inside. The cause and manner of their deaths will be determined by the Lane County Medical Examiner. The woman has been identified as Heidi Rice, age 52. Police are waiting to release the identity of the other individual until next of kin are notified.
