Update at 11:08 p.m., August 28, 2015

EPD is carefully searching a multi-story residence with a robot in an attempt to safely locate a suspect. Based on the investigation, the suspect was inside his own residence and shot and killed an intended target either inside or outside the residence. The victim on the ground outside was deceased. First responders risked their safety to take the victim out of the area and try to render aid, which was unsuccessful.

There are no apparent ongoing threats to the public at this time and the roadways will be reopened shortly.

We anticipate being able to release more information tomorrow.
