[ARCHIVED] Lieutenant David Natt graduates from Northwester University's Center for Public Safety

Eugene Police Lieutenant David Natt has graduated from Northwestern University’s Center for Public Safety’s School of Police Staff and Command. This is a 10-week staff and command program held in Evanston, Illinois. Eugene Police Department’s ultimate objective in sending command staff to this program, is to develop agency leaders for current and future positions.

Lt. Natt, who has been employed by Eugene Police since October 2002, graduated with distinction after successfully completing 27 core blocks of study regarding leadership, human resources, employee relations, organizational behavior, applied statistics, planning and policy development, budgeting, and resource allocation.

Implemented in 1983 by the Center for Public Safety, more than 14,000 national and international students have attended. Lt. Natt was a student in SPSC Class 375, which accommodated 41 students.

The Center for Public Safety was established at Northwestern University in 1936, with the specific goal of expanding university-based education and training for the law enforcement community. Since its inception, the center has broadened its original objective and now provides a variety of courses and programs regarding police trainings, management training, and executive development. ###
