[ARCHIVED] Update to 911 Outage from Yesterday

The cause of the outage yesterday was a cut to fiber at 6th and Garfield. This was repaired and in the meantime 911 deployed their back up center

Update: 911 is now operational at our back up center. We are working with our provider to pinpoint the issue. Because the 911 lines have not been stabilized, if you can't get through to 9-1-1, please go to your area fire station. These stations have been asked to staff for individuals to respond there in case they cannot get through. ###

Previous Information
The 9-1-1 line is currently experiencing difficulties. If anyone in the public is experience emergency they are asked to call 541-682-5111 instead. There is no estimate yet on how long the outage will last.###
