Mayor Kitty Piercy will deliver her 2016 State of the City Address on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at 5:30 p.m., in the lobby of the Hult Center for the Performing Arts. Mayor Piercy will highlight key accomplishments of the City of Eugene in 2015 and outline goals for the City for the coming year.

Entertainment will include musical selections from the Dorians Jazz Choir from South Eugene High School.

The event will feature two community awards recognizing individuals and organizations whose work in 2015 has furthered the Mayor and City Council’s goals along with City of Eugene staff recognitions.

Along with the annual awards the three finalists for the Bold Steps Award will be present and the winning recipient will be announced during the event.

Recognizing the need in our community for food assistance programs, Food for Lane County will be providing collection barrels and attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable canned goods for donation during this free public event.

The event is wheelchair accessible and will be interpreted for the hearing-impaired.
