Brown Construction has started work on the South Willamette Improvement Project from 24th to 29th avenues. Plans call for the widening of several parts of Willamette Street, a new traffic signal, and a pilot study. The pilot study will implement a test restriping that will result in one lane of traffic in each direction, a center turn lane, and bicycle lanes on both sides of the street.
