[ARCHIVED] Exclusion Request Case Summaries

At about 1:30 a.m. on August 16, police responded to a complaint of a disorderly subject in the area of Broadway & Olive. Officers contacted the 39-year-old man, who yelled obscenities as he drank from a bottle. He became increasingly aggressive with officers and at one point stopped and turned toward the officer, raising the bottle as if to strike the officer in the head with it. The officer drew a taser and told the man to put the bottle down. The man continued yelling and moving around. Another officer arrived and they were able to take the subject into custody without use of the taser. The subject was lodged at the Lane County jail for the crimes of Menacing and Consuming/Possession Alcohol on Unlicensed Premise.

He has been arrested previously for Consuming Alcohol on Unlicensed Premises approximately 77 times, Criminal Trespass 28 times, Violation of Park Rules four times, Interfering with a Police Officer twice, Disorderly Conduct six times, Criminal Mischief twice, Physical Harassment three times, Assault (domestic violence) twice and Violation of a Restraining Order and Contempt of Court four times. He has been the subject of non-criminal holds for detoxification 10 times.

The subject is a black male, age 39, no known address. ###
