[ARCHIVED] Sheldon High School Police Activity

UPDATE:
The 16-year-old male was located. After investigating, he was determined to not have committed a crime and will not be charged.

Prior Release 6/9/16
Police initially received information of a 16-year-old male who was possibly armed with a handgun and taser and that he might be coming to the school. Sheldon High School went on lockdown as police were responding.

After investigating, police were able to confirm the involved weapons were at the teen's home and had not been taken from the home. Eugene Police is continuing to investigate and work with the school. There is known, no known ongoing threat at this time.

At 1:32 p.m., police received a call that a possibly armed subject might be bringing weapons to Sheldon High School. Police responded. There is no known immediate threat at this time. The investigation is ongoing , and we will provide updates as we can.
