[ARCHIVED] Animal Services Holds Uniform Patch Contest

Eugene Animal Services held a uniform patch contest for the animal welfare officers in the Bethel and 4J School District. Students were asked to help create a patch design to be displayed on the officers uniforms to represent the unit in the years to come. The students who participated demonstrated a wide range of imagination and creativity. Overall, a total of 74 designs were voted on by members of the Eugene Police Department. The designs selected came from students in the WEB (Where Everyone Belongs) class at Kelly Middle School. Every student from the WEB class submitted a design and on Tuesday they were all awarded participation certificates, EPD goodies and a K-9 demonstration from Officer Mike Casey and Officer Robert Griesel. Concepts from the two winning submissions will be converted in to a patch over the summer.

Animal Services thanks every student who participated in the contest and for sharing their creativity with the department.
