[ARCHIVED] UPDATE: Detectives Seek Help Identifying Theft Suspect

Theft Suspect

Following information sent to media and posted online July 8, EPD received information regarding the identity of the suspect, Nazir Ahmad Zahra, age 69, of Eugene, and contacted him July 9, regarding the incident. He was cited in lieu of custody for Theft in the First Degree.

In May 2016, a man dropped by Chase Bank Branches in Eugene and Springfield on several occasions and fraudulently withdrew funds totaling about $35,000 from a victim’s account. The victim does not know the suspect.

Photos of the man at the bank are attached. The arm sling may just be a prop since he is pictured without it in other surveillance photos.

If you have any relevant information or tips in this case, please contact Detective Patrick Willis at 541.682.6235.
