[ARCHIVED] PUBLIC ADVISORY - Hazardous Conditions

Overnight icy conditions have created a significant hazard to the public.  There are currently numerous trees down throughout the city blocking streets and damaging power lines. There are currently severaldown power lines blocking streets and sidewalks. All down lines should be considered live and a hazard until cleared by the power company.


Power outages have also caused multiple traffic lights to stop functioning. Drivers arereminded that when approaching an uncontrolled intersection they should consider it a four way stop.


Additionally, conditions on E. 30th Ave near Spring Blvd have deteriorated due to icy conditions. Drivers are asked to avoid that area.
