[ARCHIVED] Leaf Season Cancelled

Eugene Public Works has cancelled this season’s future leaf collection and delivery program. Public Works has shifted its focus to storm debris cleanup of public trees. Starting Tuesday, crews will move through the city and pick up storm debris and any remaining leaves that are still in the street.

“We regret we are not able to do our normal leaf collection and delivery,” said Michelle Cahill, acting Public Works Maintenance Division Director. “Removal of the large amount of debris from the storm is taking priority. We are working to be efficient and effective in getting our road-rights-of-ways cleared.”

Because the focus is on debris cleanup, crews will not fulfill any additional leaf delivery requests.
