[ARCHIVED] Man Arrested in Stabbing Incident

Assault 1, Unlawful Use of a Weapon

Case No. 17-1925

Eugene Police responded to a report of a stabbing at 8:00 pm, February 5, 2017, at 1665 Oak Patch. Upon arrival officers learned that Gordon Irving Longmore had used a maul (an ax) to stab the victim. The victim received injuries to his neck and back and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. While very serious, the injuries were non-life threatening. The victim in this case was known to the suspect.


Officers arrested Longmore and lodged him at Lane County Adult Corrections. The motive for the stabbing is still under investigation.


Charges:

Assault 1: A Felony.

Unlawful use of a Weapon: C Felony.

Arrested:

Gordon Irving Longmore, age 57, of Eugene, OR
