A detective was working a sting regarding child prostitution and posed as a young teen girl online. A man, later identified as Jordan Daniel Williams, age 38, of Eugene, responded to the posting and the “girl” identified herself as age 15. Williams set up a date to meet the ‘girl’ near a designated location in the Eugene area, and when Williams arrived, he was contacted by detectives and placed under arrest for Online Sexual Corruption of a Child.
In 2016, EPD detectives arrested 25 men for attempting to have sex with a known minor. The goal is to prevent sexual exploitation and to help children and women who are victimized.
