[ARCHIVED] City of Eugene Invites Local Vendors to Open House

The City of Eugene is hosting a Vendor Open House on Thursday, April 20 from 3-6 p.m. in the Bascom-Tykeson Room of the Eugene Public Library, 100 W. 10th Ave.

Intended for local vendors interested in contracting with the City and local agencies, the open house aims to help vendors successfully contract with the City, build connections in our region, and get the word out about upcoming projects.

Vendors will have an opportunity to meet with project managers, buyers, and representatives from several City divisions and local agencies. At the open house, vendors will be able to:

  • Introduce their business
  • Network with other local vendors
  • Attend presentations
  • Learn about upcoming projects
  • Discover available resources
  • Learn about contracting with government agencies

Local agency partners include the City of Springfield, Lane County, Lane Transit District, Eugene Water and Electric Board, and University of Oregon. Resource partners include Oregon Procurement Information Network (ORPIN), the State Certification Office for Business Inclusion and Diversity (COBID), Government Contract Assistance Program (GCAP), and Lane Small Business Development Center (Lane SBDC) to provide a robust group of resources and opportunities to attendees.

City of Eugene staff are looking forward to the opportunity to connect with the community. “This will be a very exciting first annual event, offering a lot to the vendor community,” says Clay Stilwell, Purchasing Analyst. “We hope to see both new and familiar faces learning about opportunities to work with the City and our partner agencies.”

The event is free to vendors, and the first 100 attendees to check in will receive free parking validation for the Overpark Garage on 10th and Oak downtown. Vendors can register at:
