[ARCHIVED] Second Joint Public Hearing Scheduled for Transportation System Plan

The Eugene City Council and Lane County Board of Commissioners will hold a second joint public hearing for the 2035 Transportation System Plan (TSP) on Monday, April 17, at 5:30 p.m. at Harris Hall. The first public hearing was held on March 6. The hearing is an opportunity for community members to provide comments on the TSP, a 20-year blueprint for Eugene’s transportation system.

“The TSP serves as a transportation element of the Envision Eugene comprehensive plan,” said Rob Inerfeld, Transportation planning Manager. “The City crafted this document with help from the community. This plan provides a balanced multimodal transportation system that prioritizes safety, sustainability, economic vitality and community livability.”

Key elements of the TSP include a section that includes goals, policies, and potential actions. The document also contains numerous capital projects, funding options and an updated street classification map. The TSP can be viewed and downloaded at www.EugeneTSP.org.

Community members can submit testimony for consideration by the Eugene City Council and Lane County Board of Commissioners at the public hearing or by emailing Inerfeld by noon on Monday, April 17, at rob.inerfeld@ci.eugene.or.us.
