[ARCHIVED] Robbery/Kidnapping Arrests – Looking for Additional Information

On March 7, police responded to a Suspicious Conditions report at the Oregon Motel on Franklin Boulevard and found the room in disarray and information of a possible robbery that had taken place. Police also found that one of the two male victims were transported to the hospital with significant injuries after he was threatened and struck with a handgun at the hotel during the incident. After further investigation involving the EPD Forensic Evidence Unit, US Marshal’s Office and FBI, police contacted Jorge Rubio, age 34, of Eugene, Shawn Kyle Dunaway, age 36, of Veneta, and Antonio Ramon Vizcaino, age 26, of Austin Texas, and arrested them on October 3 on two counts of Robbery in the First Degree, Menacing-Aggravated Assault, Unlawful Use of a Weapon-Aggravated Assault, Assault in the Second Degree, and two counts of Theft in the First Degree. Rubio and Vizcaino also received charges of Kidnapping in the First Degree and Dunaway received a charge of Kidnapping in the Second Degree. All three suspects were transported to the Lane County Jail.
