[ARCHIVED] Vision Zero Open House Set for November 2

Are you interested in playing your part to eliminate all deaths and life-changing injuries on Eugene’s streets? The City of Eugene would like to hear from you! The City is hosting a Vision Zero Open House on Thursday, November 2, from 3:30-6:30 p.m. The open house will be held in the Atrium Building Lobby in downtown Eugene (99 W. 10th Ave.).

Vision Zero is a City Council goal that states no loss of life or serious injuries on Eugene’s transportation system are acceptable. The Eugene City Council in the fall of 2015 adopted Vision Zero as an official policy.

City staff have worked with community partners and agencies to create a Vision Zero Action Plan. While the plan is still in draft form, staff are looking for feedback. Come bring your thoughts to the Open House, or come simply to learn more about the Vision Zero approach to transportation safety.
