[ARCHIVED] Fridays at the Park Blocks Kicks Off This Week With Light Up the Night

Dance, drink, eat and be merry this December with Fridays at the Park Blocks. Enjoy free live music, outdoor heaters, fire pits, tented seating, food trucks, and festive alcoholic beverages from Thinking Tree Distillery.

The kick-off event is set for Friday, December 1, from 5:30-8 p.m. ArtCity and City of Eugene Cultural Services present Light Up the Night in conjunction with Lane Arts Council’s First Friday ArtWalk. At 7 p.m., the ArtWalk will stop at the event and artists will speak about their work.

Engage with local artists as they showcase multidisciplinary arts that use light and/or film to create artistic expression in the darkness of nightfall. Art pieces include:

  • Projected light installations
  • Short films
  • Sculpture
  • Music and more

Bring new socks or underwear and gently used cold weather clothing to support adults in need through the Egan Warming Center, or purchase a holiday tree or wreath with all proceeds supporting the PNW Adult & Teen Challenge Recovery Program.
