[ARCHIVED] TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Expect Delays on Saturday in Downtown

Drivers should plan for delays on Saturday, March 24, in parts of downtown Eugene. Public works staff will close several roads to accommodate a planned march through the northern section of downtown.

Road closures will start around 10 a.m. and are expected to last until mid-afternoon. The area of impacts are as follows:

  • Ferry Street Bridge at 6th Avenue and Mill Street on the east end
  • Portions of 5th Avenue on the north end
  • Olive Street on the west end
  • Broadway on the southern portion

The route will take demonstrators onto several streets throughout downtown. Police will be on hand to help direct traffic. People who are trying to get across town are encouraged to use 11th and 13th avenues.
