[ARCHIVED] UPDATE: Bicyclist/Vehicle Crash Update - Hwy 99N/Roosevelt Blvd

At 9:26 p.m., a crash was reported between a 1990s Ford Ranger and a bicyclist. The pickup had been going northbound on Hwy. 99, approaching Roosevelt when it struck the male bicyclist who had started to cross on the south side in the crosswalk. The bicyclist sustained life threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital. EPD’s Major Collision Investigations Unit responded and is still investigating this incident.


We will release the names of the involved at a later time, after contacting the man’s family.

Hwy 99n & Roosevelt 


The Eugene Police Department is out investigating a traffic crash near the intersection of HWY 99N and Roosevelt Blvd. The northbound lanes of HWY 99N will be closed at Roosevelt Blvd until further notice. The southbound lanes are not affected. Please use alternative routes.
