[ARCHIVED] Attend June 28 Open House for High Street Protected Bikeway

Eugene Public Works is inviting you to come learn about and provide input on a proposed two-way protected bikeway on High Street. Plans call for the construction of a protected bike lane on High Street, between 5th and 19th avenues, to create a barrier between people driving and biking.

Open House

  • Thursday, June 28, 2018
  • 5:30 – 7 p.m.
  • 1645 High Street, Eugene Garden Club

The High Street Bikeway will complete Phase 3 of the Rivers to Ridges active transportation corridor which connects the Ridgeline Trail in south Eugene to the Riverbank Path along the Willamette River. The projected is estimated to be completed by 2020.

“This is another critical portion of our Rivers to Ridges active transportation corridor that better connects south Eugene to the Willamette River,” said Reed Dunbar, Eugene Associate Planner. “This should not only make the road safer for those on bikes, but it will also provide a higher level of comfort for everyone traveling on High Street.”

Additional Opportunity to Provide Feedback

For those who can’t make the open house, there’s an online survey which allows people to weigh in on the project.
